At Bright Stars Childcare LLC, we’re proud to provide a caring and safe environment for your children. At Bright Stars Childcare LLC, we strive to provide each child with a safe and nurturing environment. Our program is structured to provide a loose schedule of routines that best meet the individual needs of each child in our care. We are determined to provide an educational based curriculum with varying learning styles to help each child hit developmental milestones and learn. Each child will be treated with respect as a valuable individual.
At Bright Stars Childcare LLC our teachers create and follow a weekly curriculum plan with age appropriate books, art, and activities each day. We keep it fun by giving each week a theme to base curriculum off of. Our classrooms are divided into infants 6 weeks - 18 months, toddlers 18 months - 3 years, a 3 year old room, and a Pre-K room with 4-5 year olds.
We believe that one on one time and buikding bonds is important for infants. Therefore our infants are divided into two different age groups.. the itty bitty room ages 6 weeks to about a year has a 1 tp 3 ratio instead of the traditional 1 to 4. This allows more individualized time with each child to help them flourish and accomplish all those important milestones and moments. This classroom focuses on helping infants with crawling, rollling over, sitting up, walking, drinking from a sippy cup along with many others. The older infant classroom is ages 1 year to 18 months. This classroom has the traditional 1 to 4 ratio with some of the main focuses being on walking, talking, sign language and interacting with other children.
Our toddler teachers focus on things such as potty training, eating with silverware, drinking out of a big kid cup, throwing and catching, learning words, shapes, colors. This age can be the foundation for many other skills children need later on in their learning journey.
3 year-old classroom
Our 3 year old teachers continue to help this age group to learn. They get a little more structure in their day in this classroom. The teachers continue to work on colors and shapes but also start the children on the path of recognizing letters and numbers. By the time they leave to go to Pre-k room they will have started to learn to write as well.
Our Pre-K classroom focuses on preparing children for kindergarten. The teachers work on writing, recognizing words, and continuing to develop life skills such as shoe tying.
